Additional highlights:
Whale Watching from Dalvik
Head out to sea to spot whales off the coast. Some of the species spotted near Akureyri in Eyjafjörður include Bottlenose Whales, Mink, and Humpback Whales.
Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon Boat Ride
Opt to take a boat ride around the lagoon to get closer to the floating icebergs with their seal passengers. With different options for boats— Amphibian or Zodiac— there is no shortage of ways to view the highlights of this lagoon. This activity is offered from 1 May to 30 October, and is subject to availability.
Skaftafell National Park Glacier Hike
Hike some of the many maintained trails in Skaftafell National Park, famous throughout the country for its excellent weather and sunny summer days. This preservation area in the southeast is now incorporated into the larger Vatnajökull National Park. The diverse landscape here is often compared to certain parts of the Alps but, like most of Iceland's incredible landscape, the region was created by rivers, glaciers and volcanoes.
Whales and Glaciers Bundle - Dalvik and Skaftafell Dalvik
Get the most out of your tour with this epic bundle. Head out from Akureyri on Day 2 to one of the best areas in Iceland to spot whales. Species in the picturesque Eyjafjörður area include Bottlenose Whales, Mink, and Humpback Whales.
During your visit to the Skaftafell National Park on Day 5 of your tour, follow an expert guide through the ice paths and crevasses along the Svínafellsjökull glacier. This easy yet exhilarating hike will allow you to really take in the mind-blowing beauty of the rugged landscape, which was crafted over eons by rivers and volcanic activity.
Please note: If you opt to book this bundle, you do not also need to book the Skaftafell National Park Glacier Hike or Whale Watching from Dalvik. Both activities are included in this bundle.
